As we look at the title of the message today, I want you to notice the word 'waiting,' and most of the time this is something very difficult to do. Now if we are in the need of patiences, God has men that He expresses patiences through (for example Job). Also, if we are in the need of wisdom, then He has men that He expresses wisdom through (for example Solomon). And if we need strength, we can look at Samson as he carried the gates of the city on his shoulders. So anything we need, God has expressed it somewhere in the Bible. God, through the Word, has always left Himself a witness here for us to draw strength and encouragement from, for He is "able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all that we ask or think." (Ephesians 3:20)
Now the redemption of the body is the last phase that we (the wife of Christ) go through just before the rapture. And the redemption of the body has already begun. God has already given us the mind of Christ and the attributes of Christ, and He is moving us right along as we wait. Now as we wait, we need to stay right with the Word, even though there are other voices saying something different. (You might want to read the message "Unlike Eve, we waited for the Voice of Authorization to eat" preached June 1 2008.) Paul said in Romans 8:15, "For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba Father." This means we are part of the family of God, as is some that are still in the denominations.
When people join the denominational systems they receive the spirit of bondage as they receive the right hand of fellowship. And they are happy as long as they conform to the denominational rules, which includes water baptism in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost, but they don’t know the name. Even in the natural today, I don’t think anyone would marry a man if they didn’t know his name, and it is the same in the spiritual. Romans 8:22-23 says, "For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body." Verse 25 says, "But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it."
We can be successful while we wait for the redemption of the body as Ephesians 4:29-32 says, "Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice; And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you."

Now when we think about the dead being able to hear we think about Lazarus. And when we think about Lazarus we think about a resurrection. God gave a little glimpse of a resurrection as far back as Job, and it is believed that Job lived before the law was given by Moses. Even this far back, Job said, "And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God." (Job 19:26) Daniel also talked about a resurrection when he said in Daniel 12:2, "And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake."
Jesus said in John 11:43, "Lazarus, come forth” and Lazarus came forth wrapped in grave clothes. Now Lazarus at this time did not have a glorified body because they had to take away the stone and unwrap him and let him go. So there was somewhere down the road after he lived his life and served his purpose, he died; but this was a witness of a resurrection.
Now after Jesus was resurrected He brought many of the old saints with Him and these old saints also were a witness because the graves were opened. Now at this end time there is going to be another resurrection and it will be the wife of the Lamb.
John 5:28 says, "For the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation." Now it sounds like all of these will come forth at the same time, but the last part of this verse is the White Throne Judgment and it takes place at the end of the millennium. Revelation 20:4-5 says, "And they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years, But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished."
Now the Wife of the Lamb, which is living, will hear His voice and she will know that she will be raptured prior to the tribulation period; she will hear that trumpet sound. She will know that the dead in Christ shall rise first. This is the saints that have passed on but are part of the body of Christ. We know that we will be changed prior to the rapture because 1 Corinthians 15:53 says, "For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality." And then Thessalonians 4:17 says, "Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."

Now Paul said, "Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men." (2nd Corinthians 3:2) This means we are the living Word. We have been baptized into the body of Christ, "For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones." (Ephesians 5:30) Paul said in 2 Corinthians 5:20, "We pray you in Christ's (Jesus') stead." We are Christ in the earth. We didn’t stop at Ephesians 4:11 (although there is still leadership in the body), but continued on "Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ." Speaking of the body of Christ, we read where Paul said in Ephesians 4:16, "From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love." Now earlier when Paul was getting a virgin engaged to Christ there was rulership, but now as the body of Christ, we no longer need rulership, but we have leadership because we are married to Christ and we have the mind of Christ.
Paul said in 1 Corinthians 15:51, “Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed." Notice, Paul used the word 'shall' twice and this means some time in the future. Now Paul announced that this would be here and this is where we are now. Verse 52 says, "In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed." Paul said in 1 Thessalonians 4:16, "For the Lord himself shall descend (the Mighty Angel of Revelation, Chapter 10) from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first."

Today we are reading in 1 Corinthians, Chapter 3:9, it says, "For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building." Notice that Paul said that we are labourers together and not just one person. When the disciples came to shore from fishing Jesus had a fire going and "Jesus saith unto them, Bring of the fish which ye have now caught" (John 21:10). In other words we are labourers together and we are not worried about who brought what or who brought the biggest fish. If you bring a revelation then we can all receive from it, because by that which every joint supplieth.
Verse 10 says, "According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon." So Paul made it clear that he laid the foundation, but he did not build on it.
Now first of all, a foundation is not very valuable unless you build something on it; in other words we can not put all the emphasis just on the foundation. For example, Paul got the fire going and we need to bring our fish and put it on the fire. Now if all we do is quote Paul then we are still on the foundation, and we are just destroying its purpose. For example, Paul said in 1 Corinthians 7:8, "I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I." Now this was at a time when Paul thought the rapture would occur in his day, but 6 years later he said for the women to marry. This all (instruction) took place in Paul’s day and if you try to bring this over and apply it now, you are destroying its purpose and you can not build on this.
Now as we start to build, remember we all have certain gifts (or fish) that we can bring and put on the fire, but we as individuals do not have all the gifts. 1 Corinthians 12:8 says, "For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit." But as the body of Christ we do have all the gifts because we are labourers together.
Verse 11 says, "For other foundation can no man lay then that is laid, which is Jesus Christ." Now this is a solid foundation and no other foundation can be laid, but this doesn’t mean that no building will be built. Even in the natural, a builder would never lay a foundation without first knowing what the building would look like. So God knew exactly what the building would look like before Paul ever laid the foundation. This building will not only fit perfectly on this foundation, but it will hold up the building that He has ordained to put on it and that is the wife of the Lamb.

Now when we look at the title of the message, I want you to notice that you must first have a spotless robe in order to trade it for fine linen, clean and white. The Word says, 'without spots' which means it has to be a pure complete revelation of God’s Word of His plan of righteousness. There is nothing you can do to earn it, but you do have to accept it. Paul said in Ephesians 5:26-27, "That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word." And this would include coming out of the denominational systems and their teachings which is contrary to the Word. Now getting rid of the spots is making yourself ready as Revelation 19:7 says, “Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his 'wife' hath made herself ready." This is only speaking of His wife. Now there are other groups, for example, the Jews under the fifth seal will be given white robes (Revelation 6:9-11). And then also there is the Jewish church (brethren) that is seen in heaven around the throne clothed in white robes. Then there are the tribulation saints that will wash their robes and make them white in the blood of the Lamb. (Revelation 7:14) Then the two prophets of Revelation 11:3, will be dressed in sackcloth, a garment of grief. And then there's the woman (mother whore) of Revelation 17:4-5, which is arrayed in purple and scarlet color. So we see all these different type garments.
Now one can be a virgin and still not be the wife. In the Book of Esther there were many virgins presenting themselves before the king. And at this point they were all waiting for the king's decision of whom he would choose to be his wife. Notice, Esther did not try to be something more than just herself, so she only took what was necessary - (revelation of Word). Now while Esther was waiting to be chosen by the king, there was a period of time when she was making herself ready or in other words getting her robe spotless so she could trade it for fine linen, clean and white. The same with Rebekah, she had on her traveling garment 'until' just before she went in the tent. Paul said in 2 Corinthians 11:2, "For I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ." After being chosen, there was a period of time (7 church ages), and Verse 8 says, "And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints." Now we know this righteousness is not our righteousness because 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." Notice, He took our sin and gave us His righteousness. In all of our dealings here on this earth, you will not find a better trade than this.

We are reading today in Genesis, Chapter 2:18-25, it says, "And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him." Now when we look at the word 'help meet' it does not in any way signify a servant or someone we can rule over, but it means being equal, understandable and compatible, etc. Now when God said help meet, Adam had no idea what a help meet was. So it seemed strange that God would parade all the animals before Adam to name them first before He created Eve, the real help meet. Adam could have been thinking, which one of these is my help meet. But not any of the animals were suitable for Adam. So he just named them and let them pass on in the long parade as Verse 19, says, "And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them; and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof." Now even though Adam did not know what a help meet was, he knew that not one of all the animals was his helpmeet, even though animals can be a comfort to people; but something did not feel just right.
Now God also created the serpent which was a helper, but not a help meet. The serpent always questioned what God said just like what many people do today, saying, "Well, I believe it this way or I believe it that way," trying to bring division. The serpent deceived Eve in the garden (in a physical way), but as Paul got a virgin engaged to Christ, the serpent deceived her in a spiritual way. Paul said in Acts 20:29, "For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you." After this the church went through 7 church ages, and not one of these churches was a perfect help meet for Christ.
Now as God started to restore the church back through Martin Luther, he protested against the Catholic church and this started the protestant movement; afterwards denominationalism began to flourish. The denominations started to take on names (for example, Lutherans, Baptist, Methodists, Pentecostals, and many others). And they can be a comfort, but this was not the perfect help meet for Christ.
Now after all of the different denominations passed by, something did not feel just right. Now up to this point, there has never been a perfect help meet for Christ. But now at this end time after a long journey there came a prefect living help meet, and she has presented herself as Christ's body to the Lord Jesus Christ in the consummation of marriage. She has been baptized into His body, and at this time she was given His name, which is Christ. And as a help meet she is equal, understandable, and compatible. The wife has the same thing that is in the Lord Jesus Christ. He has given her the gifts, the fruits, His mind, and has put His Word in her mouth. (The body speaks with one mind and one mouth.) She has accepted the righteousness of saints, and she has made herself ready. As Adam cleaved unto his wife, so is Christ cleaving unto His Wife, as not a single church could qualify for this high calling.

Now down through our journey the church has struggled with denominationalism, and in some cases have changed from one denomination to another trying to find what was right. Trying to figure out the trinity, whether there was one or two or three in the Godhead and what was the proper baptism. And now that our fight for truth is over and God has settled our minds, we are enjoying the blessings of God. It is like becoming grandparents after they have struggled to raise their children and make ends meet, they can now enjoy the blessings of having their grandchildren to enjoy.
Now the Wife has completed her journey through the seven churches ages and she is no longer wearing her traveling garment, but she is dressed in fine linen, clean and white. She has arrived home and she is secure in herself and there is nothing more to fight about; our battles are won and now we can enjoy the blessings of God, as we have come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ. (Ephesians 4:13) Paul spoke further about this in Hebrews 12:22, it says, "But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels." We have arrived home and our home is this message of Christ's coming.
We know the foolish virgins are part of the family of God, as they are not part of any denominational system. Now all the family of God have their place as well as we. So let's don’t ever get to the place where we think we are the only ones in the family, or make the other parts of the family of God feel less important. When writing to Timothy, Paul said in 1 Timothy 6:2, "And they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren; but rather do them service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit." Now one can be a partaker with Him and receive benefits from what He did and love Him without being part of the wife. Now this doesn’t do away with any part of the family of God. God actually blinded the Jews in order to get a Gentile wife, but soon the gospel will go back to the Jews, which are part of the family - the Brethren of Christ. But the wife is baptized into the body of Christ. We are bone of His bone and flesh of His flesh (intimacy), and have the mind of Christ. We have His thoughts and we have His Word. We have His gifts and now we can now see the whole family of God from our home.

Today we are reading in John, Chapter 14:1-3, it says, "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also." Now when we look at the wife of God's Son, it is a small number compared to the saved people from Genesis to the end of the Millennium, and there is a very, very important and an assured place for her. She is on the inside of the wall of that city and Revelation 22:2 says, "In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded 'her' fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations." God has taken care of all the details and even her dress is special because Revelation 19:8 says, "And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white." Even in a normal wedding today, the wife is dressed special and there is no mistaking her for the wedding guests. Even when it comes to our righteousness, 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, "For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him." If Christ is good enough, then you are good enough. Also, the wife is secure in herself and she doesn’t have to put anybody down to make herself look good. In Romans 8:29-30 it says, "For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified." We have been baptized into His body and we are bone of His bone and flesh of His flesh and we have the mind of Christ. As the sounding of the trumpet goes forth it gives a certain sound, “That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ." (Romans 15:6)

After the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus, Luke 24:13-14 says, "And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs. And they talked together of all these things which had happened." Then Jesus joined them and said (Verse 17), "What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?" Not knowing it was Jesus, they told all that had happened that day. Verse 27 says, "And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself." After constraining him to abide with them, Verses 30-32 says, "And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them. And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight. And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures." At this point they were no more sad, but they were supercharged. This was a message that answered their heart’s longing.
When Jesus sent His 12 apostles out, He said in Matthew 10:6, "But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel." So when Paul started his ministry he tried to go to the Jews as well, although he was told that he would be a light to the Gentiles. Acts 13:42 says, "And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next Sabbath." The Gentiles heard him gladly. In Verses 44-45, it says, "And the next Sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God. But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming." The Jews refused to accept Paul’s gospel because he was preaching Jesus and not Moses. Verse 46 says, "Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, lo, we turn to the Gentiles." Verse 48 says, "And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed." This was a message that answered their heart’s longing.
Now in our day as the trump of God is sounding forth, the foolish virgins will not accept this gospel (the little book) because they are following a man (just like the Jews followed Moses). But we have eaten the little book which has gotten us married to Christ and this message has answered our heart’s longing.
