Does Christ Have A Wife, Or Is The Wife Of Christ A Misnomer? (2957)
Now let's read in the Book of Ephesians, Chapter 5, starting with Verse 30. It says, "For we (the Christ wife) are members of His body, of His flesh, and of His bones." Now I want you to watch a truth here. Here in Verse 30, Paul doesn't say that 'we are members of the body of Christ;' but he says, 'we are members of His body, of His flesh, and of His bones'--which is the perfect man of Ephesians 4:13. Let's compare this with what Paul said in 1 Corinthians 12:12-13. It says, "For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit." And in doing so, we see that the Word has grown from being just members of the body of Christ (the Spirit and the anointing from the Lord Jesus) to being members of the perfect man. This means we are now perfectly one with the Lord Jesus our Husband. Take special note, for this scripture says, "For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones." In other words, the body of Christ took on another form--of His flesh and of His bones. And once we became His flesh and bones, we recognized that we were a part of the same Word that Jesus Christ was created from. Verse 31, "For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife (He begins to call her wife.), and they two shall be one flesh." That means we are the same flesh and bones of our Lord Jesus, making us His Christ. (Ephesians 4:13-16, Revelation 11:15, and Revelation 19:7-8)
